Enright takes the Championship at The Lonestar Girls

The incredible venue Sky Creek Ranch Golf Course offered an exciting round of play for the 2nd annual Lonestar Girls Invitational. An exiting feature for this event was the prestigious full exemption final with paid entry fee to the Dixie Amateur offered to our champion. The weather was once again beautiful for the final round of play. Several players made a charge up the leaderboard trying their best to become only the second  in history Lonestar Girls Champion. After play commenced for the final round, there was an incredible 5-way tie for 1st place, all players finished with 2 day totals of 148.

Kelly Xac from Corpus Christi gave it her best and she finished round 2 with a -1 under 72. Hailey Jones from Dallas, finished her day with a 75 giving her a share of the lead. Randi Romack from Austin also closed out round two with a 75. Camille Enright closed her day with a 75 giving her a piece of lead. Jennie Park from Carrollton also shot a 75 making her the fifth player tied for the coveted title of champion.

All five players played hole 18 for the first hole of the sudden death playoff. Romack made a 7 and Park made a 6. Enright and Jones both made 5 and moved on to the second hole. The girls played the second playoff hole in near darkness and Camille Enright clinched the championship game with a par sinking a five foot putt. Hailey Jones finished in 2nd place and Camille Enright a Plano native and 2016 graduate is your 2015 Lonestar Girls Invitational Champion.
