TJGT PERFORMANCE BASED ENTRY TABLE & AWARDS

OVERVIEW

TJGT is the largest regional junior tour in the country providing the most exposure to the coveted AJGA performance based entry system. TJGT’s board of directors and several tournament staff are parents of current/former AJGA players as well as current/former collegiate players and professional players.  They understand better than anyone else in the country the significance of obtaining status on the AJGA and can provide valuable counsel on PBE strategy and tournament scheduling. TJGT’s operations staff of over 40 top Texas high school coaches, former college coaches and collegiate players are very familiar with the AJGA system and TJGT host an annual podcast and conference call each season with AJGA’s Director of Player Services Chandler Sweat.

TJGT does not submit results to AJGA. AJGA reviews the results of each tournament and if any questions arise on any PBE award, AJGA will make contact with tour staff to verify. Please give AJGA a minimum of 14 business days to update an individual player PBE status. Please direct any questions on status to AJGA player services @ 770-868-4200. You must me a current member of the AJGA before any PBE status will show up on your player profile.  Additional PBE status is listed on majors and invitationals as well as holiday classics.  Players playing the TJGT have more opportunity to gain AJGA PBE status than any junior tour in Texas or the Southwest with over 70 Plus events.  Most importantly, TJGT staff can counsel each family on college recruiting from their many first hand experiences with over 4000 collegiate alumni.

There is no substitute for experiencing the AJGA PBE system and tournaments with your own children. The first-hand experience of numerous TJGT staff, board members and staff members who are Texas High School golf coaches offers EVERY member a value not matched by any other junior tour. The counsel and mentoring offered by TJGT staff is second to none. Why? The staff and board members have lived the AJGA experience as well as experienced the college recruiting service numerous times with their own children. There simply is no substitute for this experience . I mean no dis-respect to any golf instructor or PGA professional but until you have traveled the country with your own kids playing in junior, collegiate, amateur golf, had college coaches in your home recruiting, actually recruited players and signed players yourself, it’s hard to counsel anyone effectively on their Road to College Golf.

This is the true mission of the TJGT, to inform and educate parents and players on the academic and athletic process of obtaining a scholarship while providing the best run and most frequent, inexpensive tournaments in the country. TJGT’s record of over 4000 collegiate alumni on scholarship the past thirteen years with a 93% girls & 85% boys senior scholarship success rate the past five seasons speaks for itself. The thousands of hours our staff completes in Q & A’s at major events, one-on-one mentoring, phone appointments, email support, podcasts, webinars and other support is why TJGT members enjoy the scholarship success at every level of the NCAA, NAIA & NJCAA. College coaches at every level know the level of competition on the tour and our staff is networked better than anyone with coaches across the country as a result of our relationships with the College Golf Coaches Assoc, Golfstat, AJGA and Golfweek.
