We are happy to announce the recipients of the 2020 Avid Junior Golf Initiative College Scholarship! Each of these recipients exemplified the qualities of integrity, honor, hard word, selflessness and success both on and off the golf course. We are proud to award them each a $2,000 college scholarship.
Davis Archer
The Woodlands, Texas
Davis Archer is a graduate of The Woodlands High School and was a member of The Woodlands High School golf team. He was a member of the National Honor Society, the Science National Honor Society and graduated with a 3.76 GPA. Davis will be attending the University of Texas at Dallas in the fall and majoring in Mechanical Engineering.
Hanna Bullard
New Braunfels, Texas
Hanna Bullard is a graduate of New Braunfels High School and was a member of the New Braunfels High School golf team. She was a two-time team captain of the golf team, a 5-year member of FFA (she exhibited and raised hogs) and a 5-year volunteer at the San Antonio Livestock Show. Hanna graduated with a 3.6 GPA and will be attending Dalton State College in Georgia in the fall.
Cade Bruce
Longview, Texas
Cade Bruce is a graduate of Longview High School and was a member of the Longview High School golf team. He participated in Newgate Mission, AMBUCS, Interact and was an active member of the First Baptist Church youth group. Cade graduated with a 3.58 GPA and will be attending Stephen F. Austin State University in the fall.
Emily Pantig-Nystrom
McKinney, Texas
Emily Pantig-Nystrom is a graduate of Prosper High School and was a member of the Prosper High School golf team. She began playing golf in California at the age of 5, and credits the development of an unrelenting work ethic as the main factor for her success, both on and off the course. Emily graduated with a 3.6 GPA and will be attending Bowling Green State University.
