The TJGT Major Championship at Gleneagles was played on the Kings Course on Aug. 3-4. Boys 11-18 playing at 6522yds, and the Girls playing at 5830yrds. The golf course was in immaculate conditions with the bent grass greens rolling fantastic! The 2 rounds in one day proved to be a tough challenge that was accepted by all the athletes on the golf course. It was a typical August day in in Texas with temperatures flirting with 100 and the humidity also playing a factor. Day 2 was another hot Texas day, with similar weather. Both boys and girls persevered through the day and a posted more good numbers.

BOYS
Day 1: Tyler Sixian from Coppell has the lead after the first 2 rounds with 71 and a 69. William Hocker from Grapevine had a great day and sits in 2nd place with a 72 and 71. In a tie for 3rd is Steven Fabik from Lewisville and Dominic Hardison from Roanoke who posted the lowest score of the day with a 65 in round 1. Both boys finished with two day total of 145.
Day 2: Day 2 was another good opportunity for player to take advantage of a good course and soft greens. Sixian Guo from Coppell was able to hold on to his overnight lead and take 1st place after his day 2 score of 68. His scores was also the days low. In 2nd place is William Hocker, he closed out his day with a 72 for 2nd place. Samuel Kim from Carrollton jumped up the leaderboard after his 70 in round 3 and finishing in a tie for 3rd with Steven Fabik. Fabik from Lewisville shot a 73 in his last round to finish tied for 3rd. Steven Fabik and Samuel Kim went into an exciting playoff for 3rd place. Fabik won with a birdie.
GIRLS
Day 1: Kyong Kim from Crowley holds the lead after the 2 rounds with 77 and 73. Alexandra Batista from Trophy Club sits in 2nd place with scores of 78 in round 1 and another 78 in round 2. Joann Chung from Plano holds on to 3rd place with her scores of 78 and 79.
Day 2: Kyong Kim held on to the over night lead and claimed 1st place with her last round of 74. Makenna Davidson from Frisco claimed the leaderboard with her last round score of 74 and finished in 2nd place. Finishing in 3rd was Alexandra Batista who closed out her day with a 81.
