Edsall Leads the Field After Harsh Conditions on Day One

The first day of play concluded at the LoneStar Boys Invitational today amidst harsh conditions.

The first round turned into a survival of the fittest atmosphere. Frequent rain showers and winds of 18-25 mph characterized the weather throughout the day. The mental stamina of each player in the field was tested.

Ethan Edsall (2016) of Montgomery, TX leads the pack with an incriedble first round score of two under 68. Francisco Osio (2018) of Fort Worth, TX and Jackson Markham (2016) of Westlake, TX are tied for second place at one over 71.

The day closed with a treat for players and parents alike – a dinner and college coaches panel featuring: Head Coach Kenny Trap representing Dallas Baptist University, Tom Shaw representing Abilene Christian University and Vince Clark representing McClennan Community College.

The question and answer session with the collegiate coaches aimed to give TJGT families insight into the college golf experience and advice on choosing the best road into college golf.

Tune in tomorrow to TJGT.com for all of the action in the second round! Live scoring will be hosted on our website and on at The Golf Club of Dallas via a jumbotron scoreboard.
