REPORT: Glennloch Pines Shootout

Houston, Texas – January 24, 2016 – Glennloch Pines Golf Club played host once again to the Houston Area’s Texas Junior Golf Tour (TJGT). The fantastic golf course provided near perfect conditions under crystal clear blue skies for this weekend’s shootout. Players survived a slightly chilly start to Sunday’s round but were rewarded in the end when temperatures soared well into the 60’s by the end of Sunday’s final round.

Grant Lincecum (2017) of Houston, TX claimed the Boys 15-18 Shootout trophy. Lincecum, a TJGT veteran, was able to overcome a two stroke deficit in the final round posting 73,70 (140) and narrowly clipped local boy Blake Hartford (2016) of Spring, TX. Hartford posted a 71,78 (149) two-day total. Jake Reeves (2016) of Lufkin, TX rounded out the the winners circle in third place with a 75,77 (152) two-day total.

Amelia McKee (2018) of Spring, TX was able to fire a solid 73,78 (151) on the Klein ISD golf course and ran away from a few good players to earn her 1st place finish in the Girls 15-18 division. Casey Leatherman (2016) of Huntsville, TX posted an 81,74 (155) two-day total and Gracie Aday (2016) of The Woodlands, TX posted an 80,77 (157) two-day total.

Lauren Nguyen (2021) of Katy, TX placed 1st in the Girls 11-14 division with an 88,88 (176) two-day total while Alexa Vela (2022) of Pearland, TX finished in 2nd place with a 92,93 (185) two-day total.
