Good news for you, now you don’t have to!
This weeks alumni spotlight, Cooper Dossey comes to us from Austin, Texas. He is a current Division 1 golfer at Baylor University. Prior to Cooper’s collegiate career he was a three-time Texas State Champion at Vandegrift High School. He was ranked No. 8 nationally and No.1 in the 2016 recruiting class by Golfweek. He claimed the 2016 5A Individual State Championship by 8 strokes after shooting an impressive 66-69. He has competed and placed in many AJGA events and was named to the 2016 NHSCA Golf Athlete of the Year, 2016 Paul S. Simon Character Award and the 2014 AJGA Jerry Cole Sportsmanship Award.
During his time with us on the TJGT, he competed in 19 events. He carded 4 first-place finishes and 3 runner-up finished with us. His best finish came at his final event on the TJGT at the Traditions Fall Invitational shooting (73-70) to claim the title.
As a current student-athlete at Baylor University Cooper has had quite an impressive start to his career. He played in the Baylor lineup in all 12 events during his debut season and led the Bears to their first No.1 national ranking in program history. He was also the first player in program history named to GCAA’s five-player All-Freshmen Team.

“Don’t make golf who you are because it’s only what you do. Have fun with it and never make golf your top priority.”
What’s your favorite TJGT memory?
“My favorite memory was when I won the TJGT at Traditions Golf Club in a playoff. It boosted my confidence and kickstarted that year for me!”
