The Texas A&M Traditions club, home of the 2009 NCAA Men’s National Champions and the 2011 NCAA Women’s National Championship hosted 102 of the best high school golfers in the country this weekend. The kids, parents, spectators, coaches, and TJGT staff enjoyed the best weather in the history of this fantastic event.
The players who participated each received a fantastic UnderArmour© Pullover Jacket and a dozen Titliest© Balls. The legendary A&M Traditions club was in great condition and the blue skies allowed the sun to quickly shine throughout the day.
The superb course conditions allowed many players attack the golf course and post solid scores. Sub par rounds were posted by a plethora of players including Hailey Jones (71), Girls Champion Brett Permann (70), Crosby Guercio (71), Tucker Allen (71), Jack Little (71), John Keefer (70), Bryson Scott (71) and your 2015 Traditions@ Texas A&M Boys Champion, Justin Thompson (70 and 71).
Justin Thompson (2017) of Dallas, TX was a cut above the rest with two incredible under par scores totaling three under for the entire event. There were 25 players within Thompson’s lead when the tournament closed and he proved that his mental stamina is superb.
John Keefer (2019) and Bryson Scott (2016) posted solid even par showings. Scott toppled Keefer in a playoff for second place with a birdie on the first playoff hole. Michael Rome (2017) and Tucker Allen (2019) tied at (+2) in fourth. However, Rome bested Allen on the second sudden death playoff hole to claim the higher spot.
TJGT leaderboard mainstays Chad Sewell and Crosby Guercio posted (+3) two-day totals to tie for sixth place. 25 players were within Thompson when the day finished and he proved his mental stamina by coming out on top with the trophy.
The girls field had it’s own compelling drama. Brett Permann (2017) was able to dominate the golf course with a solid score of 70 on Saturday and 72 on Sunday. Permann’s two-day total of 2 under par was 3 strokes clear of the 2nd place combatant Hailey Jones (+1). Rebecca Reed of Midland, TX finished at (+4). Gurleen Kaur was able to secure 4th place at (+6) while soon to be grads Camille Enright and Kenzie Wright tied for fifth place. The young players put up a fight against the older, seasoned players and came out victorious.

Special thanks to the Traditions staff for hosting a great event. The tournament was hosted on a great facility with an incredible staff. Many thanks!
